The alpine garden at the back leads up to the paved terrace, which comes into its own in the summer. Bordered by fields grazed by cows, each with a distinctive sounding bell around its neck the melodious tinkle can be heard throughout the day. The terrace has a charcoal-fired BBQ, a large table and chairs for lunches and a big umbrella should you crave a little shade.

Along side, the heated swimming pool has wooden sun loungers, a lockable child proof fence and while not of Olympic proportions, nevertheless offers a reasonable swimming length. The grass, which is left largely unmown, is a carpet of wild flowers in summer and has plenty of room for children to run wild in complete safety.

In front there is parking for up to 4 cars although there is space for more nearby.
